We moved here four years ago after getting out of the military. My husband and I grew up in Spokane and came up here for camping vacations as kids. Now we're raising our six boys in the country south of Priest River. We are so grateful to live in this beautiful place!

We look forward to getting more involved in this community.

This town is great. I moved here from the Seattle area 38 years ago, and this is home and always will be. The people are friendly and help those in need.
Being a volunteer for Priest River Animal Rescue has shown me the generosity of people that call this home. We see people come in that are far from being rich monetarily, but rich in heart and they are usually the most generous donors to our organization.
PRAR is trying to purchase property for a "new" shelter (some may remember it as the Selkirk Motel) and we have people coming in to donate to our "building fund" almost every day. Or people donating valuable items to be sold in our Thrift Store "Critters, etc".

Priest River is agreat place to live in fact any where in this area is great.

The people are always smiling and friendly, although you get a few rich people from around that come in this area and think just cause they got money they can just buy there way here.

Its a shame we are loosing are farms and land to builders and other business.

I know it will get worse but untill then Im going enjoy the livestyle of country living as I know it. So lets remember the farmers and how they made this area the best ever.

Community Service is alive and well in Priest River.

The Happy Agers at the PR Senior Center are hosting a sit down "all the trimmings Thanksgiving Dinner" on Friday November 14th, and it's free!

President Fred Charland and his crew of dedicated helpers will be on hand to deliver up delicious turkey, ham, stuffing and more to our community. Our very own, Asphalt Angels will be delivering meals to shut in's starting at 4:00.

Stop by and see what the Happy Agers are doing, and how they are giving back to our community. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age.
