If Your Dog Has Arthritis…

Get ArthroIonx - the all-natural mineral supplement that heals while it alleviates the pain.

Our dog couldn't even get up on his favorite chair before I found this product - and now, 2 years later, he runs and plays like a pup.

How to Send a Christmas Card to a Veteran

Just got this email from a friend and thought it was a good idea..

GREAT  IDEA!!     When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one
card and send it to this address.  If we pass this on and everyone sends
one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have
sacrificed so much would get.
When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please
include the following:

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical  Center
6900 Georgia Avenue,NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

If you approve, please pass it on.

Or...

For those in Priest River and the surrounding area who want to honor Veterans a little closer to home…

I called the VA Hospital in Spokane and asked how we might send cards to Vets who are hospitalized there.

The volunteer I spoke with was a little confused by my question, but I did get an address. She thought we should put all the cards in one big envelope and send them – so I tried to explain that we didn’t all live together.

Not a bad idea, however, if a group of neighbors or friends wanted to go together on a project.

How about a contest between city blocks or  business establishments or 4-H Clubs, or classrooms – to see who can get the most cards? If you want to issue a challenge – put it in the comments and then e-mail everyone. Sad to say, not everyone visits this site – yet.

The 135 in the following address is important – that’s their mail stop. I think it would also be good to write “To a Veteran” in the corner…As I said, she was confused. Guess nobody has ever written to “Any Veteran” at the Spokane hospital.

Veterans Voluntary Service (135)
c/o Spokane VA Medical Center
4815 N. Assembly St
Spokane, WA 99205

P.S. Remember there is a donation box at the Priest River Senior Center where you can drop off items to be sent to our soldiers serving overseas…
